Do you work as a Deaf Interpreter and desire to learn more about interpreter teaming?
Do you want to develop your interpreting skills and build knowledge about processing models, demands and control schema, and working with hearing interpreters? Do you posses an innate understanding of the role of the Deaf Interpreter and in working in Deaf and hearing community? Do you desire to learn and practice interpreting and working with a hearing interpreter? If so, we have developed programs to support your goal of working as a professional ASL/Translator interpreter. Our programs have been developed by hearing and Deaf interpreters to share their experience and knowledge. We have included several options for online training, education, mentoring, and mock interpreting. This training is offered at no cost and is available in many areas in North America. |

A common part of the Deaf experience is being a sign language user, which is a term that refers to an individual who was raised in a Deaf school, or Deaf family where a language other than English was used, in this case, American Sign Language.*
