Work through the following language-based case studies applying these 9 steps of the interpreting process. It is a mix of Gish’s processing model and the Wheel we use at Sorenson. Also identify possible Demands and Controls in each step of the interpreting process.
 
You will notice that the subject matter is very similar but the circumstances in the situation are very different. How does this effect your language choices? How does this effect your choice of Controls?
 
Work through the case studies on your own then share with your partner. Discuss with your mentor during group mentoring.
