As a dynamic and diverse Deaf-Hearing team, the IEPD will use our combined skills and knowledge of languages, cultures, and interpreting ethics, to equalize communication power and make connections happen.
DIA Program Tracks
Deaf Interpreter Academy's Current Initiatives
DIA POC & Trilingual gives the opportunity for a cohort of Deaf Interpreters of Color and Trilinguals to gain foundation training in Deaf Interpreting through scholarships and provides direct mentoring and a practicum to support them in their professional journey.
DIA IEPs supports Interpreter Education Program faculty in integrating ongoing training and practice on the use of Deaf Interpreter/Hearing Interpreter teams in their classrooms.
Next Step DI/CDI is an advanced mentoring and internship program for working Deaf Interpreters desiring to get in-depth focus training to boost skills and broaden professional opportunities.
